DGE Peace Taremwa breaks ground for a new Maternity Ward at Nsangi Health Center III

DGE Peace Taremwa was the guest of honour, and he was joined by Owekitibwa Kiwalabye Male from the Buganda government for the groundbreaking
ceremony. In his address at the event, DGE Peace told members that Rotary is dedicated to seven areas of
focus to build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world. He added that through
global grants awarded by The Rotary Foundation, clubs and districts participate in strategically focused, highimpact activities in these areas. All global grant
activities are required to align with the goals of an area of focus.

• Reduce the rate of mortality and morbidity in
  children under the age of five.
• Reduce the rate of maternal mortality and
  morbidity.
• Improving access to essential medical services,
  trained community health leaders, and health care
• providers for mothers and their children.
• Support studies for career-minded professionals
  related to maternal and child health.
