This flagship project for District 9214 has been long-awaited, and Governor Peace is proud of this achievement. The project aims to tackle the challenges faced by mothers and children in rural areas who have limited access to healthcare services. It is no secret that rural health centres lack the necessary resources to provide timely medical attention, particularly during emergencies, which puts the lives of mothers and children at risk.

The project aims to reduce the high maternal and child mortality rates in Uganda, which are among the highest in Africa.

The Village Ambulance project is a testament to the power of partnership. The collaborative efforts of Rotary, the Ministry of Health, and the World Health Organisation have made this project a success. The project’s success is also a reflection of the dedication and commitment of the rotarians who have worked tirelessly to make this project a reality.

It is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal. This project is a shining example of how we can make a difference in the lives of people, particularly those in rural areas.

In conclusion, the Village Ambulance project is a significant milestone in the quest to improve maternal and child health in Uganda. With this initiative, mothers and children in rural areas will have access to timely medical attention, which will undoubtedly save lives. The project’s success is a testament to the power of partnership, dedication, and commitment. It is a source of pride for all Ugandans and a beacon of hope for the future.
